Tallowood Ventures Ltd collects information when you supply us with your personal details either in person, by phone, online or via social media. These details may include your name, address, phone number, emergency contacts and skills for volunteering. 

At events, we also collect information about attendance and incidents, and take photographs and videos. 

When making a donation your payment details are processed by a third party secure server payment gateway (Square, PayPal). We do not store your credit or debit card details. 

We use Google Analytics to measure traffic and understand how visitors use our website. Cookies identify the device being used, but not the person using the computer. Non-identifiable information collected includes your browser type, pages viewed, duration of visit, referring website address. Cookies are an industry standard, but if you prefer not to have cookies monitoring your website usage, you can change the privacy setting of your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, or to disable cookies.

How we hold and use information

Information that we collect about you is only held as long as it is needed to provide you with the service or information required, or until our legal obligation to hold information ends.

You can ask us to correct any errors or amend any personal information we have about you. You can ask us to delete any images or video of you.

We email newsletter updates on our projects to those who have subscribed, with their permission. You can unsubscribe at any time.

In general, we do not sell or otherwise share your personal information to third parties unless you permit us to do so. We may need to share your information with third party providers who are performing a service for Tallowood Ventures, for example payment providers, who have their own privacy policies in place. 

We collect personal data to provide you with information about our projects (such as the Tallowood Mountain Rail Trail), newsletters, to organise workshops and support our volunteers, process donations or payments, to organise events and training.

We use photographs and videos, which may include your image, on our websites, social media, reports and marketing materials. 

How we protect your information

We follow industry best practise and take reasonable precautions to secure your personal information. 

We use service providers including WordPress, Mailerlite and Google for our operations. These providers have their own polices and controls in place to protect your personal information. 

Our website includes links to other websites, but this does not mean we endorse the content that appears on these linked sites, nor are these sites covered by our privacy policy.
