Tallowood Ventures have been awarded a “Placemaking” grant from Fire to Flourish which will allow us to complete the restoration of the Steam Loco 1919. The work will be undertaken by a qualified and accredited team. On completion, they will provide the certification required to satisfy the Rail Regulator. Thus, we will be able to re-establish steam train operations at the Heritage Railway site at Glenreagh. The work is expected to be started in July 2024.
Running the heritage railway will provide economic stimulus for the whole of Orara Valley and provide a site for community events.
